Now a day’s poverty has become a great concern issue for the lower and middle lower section of the society. People have been suffering from poverty in many countries for example Davous a state in Africa had suffered a great poverty earlier during 1920 -30. There was shortage of food, clothing and all other basic need for the survival of mankind. Not the same condition but somehow similar things happen in India with the poor section of the society.
If we look Indian Economy about more than 50% of Indian population are still engaged with the agriculture. Agriculture is been considered as the backbone of the Indian culture. The condition of these people is not good rather many of them have changed their profession from being farmer to laborers. Indian is the only country where people earn less than a dollar a day; among them are farmers and the street back people. There has been no security of there life. They do not get access to the basic sanitation level which is important for each and every people. According to the survey done about 40% of the Indian population are in villages. India is considered as an labor intensive where manual labor are more as compare to machines. People who work for per-day wages as laborers’ couldn’t earn a satisfied amount of money through which they could have their 2 time meal. They work for hours and hours still they couldn’t get the wages which they are entitle for. This is because of the corruption among the govt officials and moneylenders. People who travel from villages to city thinking they could earn a good amount of money suffers a lot because they couldn’t able to find the work and kept on falling in depths and depression.
According to the statics presented in 2009 it is been estimated that people who live in village are still dependent a pone moneylenders for taking lone rather using banks. Moneylenders misuse there power by putting huge amount of pressure on farmers and charging high amount of interest which an poor farmer can’t afford and he founds suicide as an easy way to get away from all problems. If we talk about the year 2004 about 1079 (appox) farmers committed suicide which is the largest number in any country. Now the Govt has taken the initiative to provide the protection to the backward section of the society by introducing certain scheams, waving off their loans and providing reservation to them. These Attempts done by Govt has Been somehow successful in improving the condition of the poor.
As now the time has turned over, govt has realized that there should be opening of different path to the process of development. In order to show the process of development many political parties continue to fight to come into power this has destroyed the whole political framework. Poor section of society is been used as a vote banks by the political parties by making false promises etc. Now days the political parties started using money for buying the votes of the common man because they are poor they are forced to take the money to fulfill their basic needs. In India only about 25% of the population died in villages because of not having any food to eat in such a large agrarian economy. Because of all this there has been a huge amount of dirt in politics and condition of poor people continues to remain same. Poor section has been the most suppressed once. If the literacy level in India can be increased the problem of poor people can be resolved and their condition can be removed.
India is been considered as second largest country in the world among the population in which large amount of labor intensive people live. If these labor intensive technology gives its best and our political leaders perform their duties well it can been estimated that India could become a super power till 2022.
